Wearable tech company, Mausware, has reached an agreement to establish its new headquarters in the century-old Tredegar Trust (Virginia Trust Company) bank building, located in the downtown financial district of Richmond, Virginia. Designed by neoclassical architect, Alfred Charles Bossom, the bank is included on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Mausware headquarters decision comes on the heels of numerous discussions involving Mausware founder and CEO, Max Eternity and a group of investors the company has been engaged with in the last year.

Eternity is a polymath specializing in art, design and socioeconomic policy. He’s also a self-taught architect and historian who’s credited with leading the successful preservation effort in 2008-10 for the Marcel Breuer designed Central Library in Atlanta, Georgia. Since becoming an alumni of the World Monuments Fund he also volunteers as an expert document reviewer. It’s his belief that preservation is progress, “so we are excited at the prospect and looking forward to moving into Mausware’s new home,” Eternity says.
“First of all, the building is magnificent, and it’s in the heart of the city just a couple blocks away from Richmond City Hall” says realtor Jonathan Gardner. “It has a 90 ft arch entryway made of beautifully carved stone, and that level of grandeur continues inside,” he says. Historic sites require a particular kind of care and maintenance, and a committed owner to that end, Gardner says, “so it’s an ideal corporate site for a company like Mausware that values historic preservation and understands the need for more sustainable cities in a way that’s also beneficial to local and state economies.”
Alluding to the fact that user-friendly ergonomics, biodegradable materials and 3D printing are all core to Mausware’s manufacturing strategy, Eternity continued, “I think a lot of people are hungry for more lightweight tech, more wearable tech, more accessible tech and more sustainable tech, which is exactly what Mausware is all about.” And simultaneously to announcing its new headquarters, Mausware is also breaking news about the lineup for their expanded suite of wearable tech products, which now includes Finger Maus ULTRA, Finger Maus Blaze. Finger Maus ULTRA X and Finger Maus Spectrum. “Here’s the deal,” Eternity says, “Mausware has over a dozen products in development, right now, with several others on the drawing board – as such we believe a 10 billion dollar valuation in the next 7 years is very realistic and achievable.”

Eternity is not alone in his belief about Mausware’s bright financial future. A number of key individuals from high-profile companies have expressed an interest in Mausware, including an offer from Microsoft to collaborate. Feasibility and vision alignment has not yet been reached, thus Mauswear continues ongoing conversations while also seeking additional new investors and vertical partners.
